Kandi’s spec sheets show the same dual 10,000-watt motors, AWD, 11.52 kWh lithium battery, 40+ MPH top speed, 50+ miles of range, 441-lb dump bed, 2,500-lb towing and 3,500-lb winch on both. The Innovator adds a front trunk (frunk) and has different front styling; the Cowboy does not have the frunk. Both are $13,499 at our store.
Can I drive the Kandi Cowboy on public roads in Texas?
Only in limited cases. Kandi builds and sells the Cowboy E10K as an off-road utility vehicle, and the owner’s manual says it is designed for off-road use only. It isn’t a low-speed vehicle (LSV): it reaches 40+ MPH, while an LSV is limited to 25 mph. In Texas it’s an off-highway vehicle, which TxDMV titles but won’t register for highway use. Texas Transportation Code chapter 551A allows limited road use, such as crossing a road, driving in certain master-planned communities, on roads posted 35 mph or less where your city allows it, or farm and utility work under specific conditions. Most of those uses require a $10 Texas off-highway vehicle license plate from your county tax office, and city or HOA rules can be stricter. If you need a vehicle for neighborhood streets, ask us about our LSV golf carts.
How fast does the Kandi Cowboy go and how far can it drive on a charge?
Kandi rates the Cowboy E10K at a 40+ MPH top speed and 50+ miles per charge. Real-world range depends on load, towing, terrain, temperature and how you drive.
How do you charge the Kandi Cowboy and how long does it take?
It has a standard SAE J1772 charging port. Kandi rates charging at 8+ hours on a regular 120V household outlet, or about 4 hours on 220V. No gas and no oil changes.
How much can the Kandi Cowboy tow and haul?
Up to 2,500 lbs of towing through a 2-inch receiver, up to 441 lbs in the electric power dump bed (31.7 x 49.4 x 11.8 in.), plus a 3,500-lb winch. Dry weight is 1,763.7 lbs.
Where is the Kandi Cowboy made?
The Kandi Cowboy E10K is assembled in Dallas, Texas. Kandi America’s headquarters and customer care team are in Dallas too.
What’s the warranty on the Kandi Cowboy, and who services it in Dallas?
Kandi warrants the vehicle for 12 months, the lithium battery for 36 months and the factory winch for 90 days, starting from purchase through an authorized Kandi dealer. Family Golf Carts is listed on Kandi America’s dealer locator as an authorized Kandi dealer and service center in Dallas.
