Ranch chores, feed runs, fence lines, hunting leases, large estates and East Texas acreage: an electric UTV does the work quietly, with no fuel, oil changes or belts. Kandi America's headquarters and customer care team are here in Dallas, and we're an authorized Kandi service center, so help is close by.
The Kandi Cowboy and Innovator are off-road utility vehicles, not low-speed vehicles (LSVs). Texas allows limited road use for off-highway vehicles under Transportation Code chapter 551A (details in the FAQ below). If you need a vehicle for neighborhood streets, see our LSV golf carts. Financing is available on both UTVs: see financing.
The Kandi Cowboy E10K and Kandi Innovator E10K, both all-electric two-seat AWD side-by-sides assembled in Dallas, Texas, at $13,499 each at our 4210 W Lovers Ln showroom.
Only in limited cases. Texas classifies UTVs as off-highway vehicles. They can be titled but not registered for highway use. Under Transportation Code chapter 551A you may cross roads (at an intersection, or at a right angle where it's safe), drive in a platted master-planned community with uniform deed restrictions, drive on roads posted 35 mph or less where a city has authorized it, drive in daytime within 2 miles of where it's parked to get to a golf course, or use it for agricultural or utility work on non-interstate roads in daytime within 25 miles (with an orange flag at least 6 feet high and lights on). Except for farm and utility use, road operation requires a $10 non-expiring Texas off-highway vehicle license plate from your county tax assessor-collector. Local rules can be stricter.
No. A low-speed vehicle (LSV) is limited to 20 to 25 mph and built to federal LSV safety standards so it can be registered for roads posted 35 mph or less. The Kandi Cowboy and Innovator reach 40+ MPH and are built as off-road utility vehicles, so they aren't LSVs.
Yes. Our Kandi UTVs tow up to 2,500 lbs, carry 441 lbs in an electric dump bed, include a 3,500-lb winch, and are quiet enough that, as Kandi puts it, they won't wake the neighbors or the livestock. You charge them from a standard outlet instead of buying fuel.
Yes. Family Golf Carts is listed on Kandi America's dealer locator as an authorized Kandi dealer and service center in Dallas. Kandi's warranty (12 months vehicle, 36 months lithium battery, 90 days factory winch) starts from purchase through an authorized dealer.
